A trend I would like to see die....Goldy on one side, and the M on the other. Please put the same thing on both sides. Also, I’m not really a fan of the Big Goldy face, but I do like the Goldy logo they used at Fresno.

I also like the same thing on both sides, but for some reason don’t mind it when they put jersey numbers on one side and “M” on the other.

I’m a huge fan of the number on the helmet. Nostalgic, simple and easy to see who is in on plays

Me too. Really liked the old school Number / Block M helmets worn recently. Nice change up.
 

I like the number on the helmet too, but put it on both sides. JMO

The M during the Mason era and the red white and blue M are the worst.
 

Might be in the minority but kind of liking the M on one side and something else on the other side. Agree that the numbers on the helmets was a good look.

I’m a fan as well. Of both. And of the goldy on one side.

I can only read picture books. I just clicked the bottom link and saw the picture. I did see that it's updated weekly; thus, confusion.

How about Goldy holding an M on each side?
 




My friends @ the Vikings game last night were saying how they loved the gold helmets with Goldy on the side. They are my favorites as well but also like the maroon version. Whatever they win in is fine by me.
 

I agree more or less because the Giant Gopher on one side and M on the other and some weirdly graphisized stripe down the middle, is way too busy. Keep it simple, white helmets with tristripes down the middle--maroon, gold, maroon.
 

More designs since 2006 than in all the years prior to 2006...

I posted the thread about a month ago, but it's a great project this guy does, and I love the historical look back at our helmet history, so I'm all for repeating it!

Doesn't look like they have updated our page for this year yet and I am sure the trend of new helmets all the time at a lot of schools has made their job a lot more difficult. Still fun to see all the different designs teams have had through the years.
