I passed on the information about tickets for vets to a good friend who is an ex-army sniper. He said he filled out the form. I'll be curious to see if he gets seats and if so, where.

I think you are looking at availability for family four pack. There are more tickets on the U website available on the lower bowl.

You're right. Here's the current chart of all ticket availability.

Now it looks like the $65 seats are gone...but that Cub foods deal gets you that same price but in the $85 seats plus food and pops.

And I think the $5 beers can be had still right after the gates open down on the plaza under the scoreboard on the left side.

Great deals!

A few quick thoughts:

- something is definitely up with the ticket office. 400+ Zone 2 and Zone 3 seats disappeared between 9am and 12:30pm yesterday, but only 30 have sold since 5:20pm last night. Which doesn't add up because no broker would be taking on that inventory at those prices. Perhaps the U is shifting some inventory and directly reselling on Stubhub?
- almost 2,000 tickets "sold" between 9am and 5pm yesterday, but only about 80 tickets have sold since 5pm yesterday... seems to me like the ticket office is handing out free tickets like candy

And a question for those reading this: has anyone with the mobile pass ticket received your ticket for this week yet? I assume not yet?

I just asked someone I know who has them and he said he normally gets them on Friday morning.

Also regarding the mobile ticket, I didn't realize if the game sells out they only get a sro ticket.

be nice to get a bunch more sold today and tomorrow and then announce some SRO Friday to get some more bodies in the house...I had a buddy pull the trigger for two this morning...so I think a lot of people are still looking at buying...40 degrees forecast helps

A couple points:

-I've looked at Stub Hub the last couple days and the overall amount of seats available has gone from about 1500 for two days, to 1400 yesterday, to about 1600 today. So, not massive changes but also not a steady drop.

-If the amount available seats through the U is now down to 1400, and there are roughly 700 mobile pass holders - that means the U website only needs to move about 700-800 more tickets to officially count this as a sellout (even though we know this should have a big asterisk next to "sellout" because of the shell game being played with big blocks of tickets and the freebees being handed out to vets).

-I keep saying there are 700 mobile pass holders because I read that somewhere. Is that correct? Anyone know the actual number?

there is definitely some good value on Stubhub this morning. Two rows up in 230 for $65 plus fees.

I don't know about the asterisk. . . I am pretty sure that the U has either Donors or Families that buy the tickets first, then hand them out. Those tickets are indeed bought. I had a buddy that signed up for it, and when they get fulfilled - there is a note saying "generously fulfilled by 'so and so'". So - I don't think it is a knock on them, plus a pretty cool thing to honor vets IMO

That's right! They ask for a $15 donation for tickets for vets when you buy on their website. This is a great idea, esp. with Veterans Day on Monday.

Ticket holders were asked to donate tickets to the game for "Salute to Service". The email did talk about the ticket office matching donations (I assume to a certain number). They were asking for seat donations prior to the season starting and throughout. I don't think it is fair to call this a "shell game".

StubHub seats have been purchased already though, as far as the athletic dept is concerned, right? It's not the AD putting the tickets up on there, for some reason?

I was referring to the massive blocks of tickets that went off the board at one time when I said "shell game". In my mind, I am assuming that is different than the vet deal. Don't worry, nobody is dissing vets.

I don’t think anyone cares whether the tickets are free to veterans or sold for $215 or whatever other than the accountants counting the money. For social media optics, marketing, fan experience, recruiting reasons it is much more important whether the tickets are going to be used by fans that actually show and give the place some energy.

If the tickets get "sold", they get "sold". That could include writing them off as legitimate donations. The game will be a "sell" out.

Now whether 100% of those tickets actually end up in the hands of people who have a higher than zero likelihood of going to the stadium, is another story.

Yeah ask Neb fans about their sellout streak, even they note that the tickets sold in the corners have for YEARS been gobbled up by sponsors and etc to ensure a sellout.

What sellout means to anyone is up to them but what it means as far as most sports is all over the map.

Perhaps the terrible marketers at the ticket office finally did something. Those large blocks may have been sold to large corporations?

Can’t believe it was still an option, but just convinced my brother from out of town to drive down and attend via the Cub 4 pack! 4 more off the board! So pumped.

Looks like they just released about 70 seats in the plaza end, section 146...$115. Nice option.

All i care about is total number of people in the seats.

On Sunday night there were 114 seats available in 243. Now there are 15. Already darn close to a sell out on the shady side.

When was the last time we had a sold out crowd and there where selling standing room only tickets?
