[TICKETS REMAINING TRACKING THREAD] - How many seats are unsold vs MD, PSU and WIS?

Recent UMN grad that has been following the forum for a couple of years but have never created an account to post anything. The excitement of the past few months has made it impossible for me to hold back any longer! Figured no better time to have the first post then to say just got 4 tickets for some friends and myself. I was still in school during that TCU game and would love to see the student section rocking like it did for that Thursday night game.

I sat next to the student section that day. Holy ****. I was so drunk and the students were wasted and it was awesome. I hope it rocks like that forever.

Good for you - Welcome!!

My son just graduated from the U this past May. His first purchases from his first paycheck was a season ticket. Not sure you are aware but the U offers season tickets for $190 to recent grads within 3 or 5 years of graduation (don't recall specifically). Something to consider for next year :)

Crazy students help us old folk feel young.

Good stuff.

Curious - if they sell standing room only tickets what do they charge for them?

Born in 1944. Long time fan. Student/Grad there. I hope ALL this is the start of something BIG. It's been a long time kids. I don't know if my heart can take it but I'll be there Saturday and for as long as I can. Something good is in the air. Go Gophers.

God bless you. I'm 10 years younger but feel the same way. Let's do this. Would be such a fun ride.

Don’t think they’ve released that number yet but I would guess somewhere in the $50ish range. Perhaps up to $65, just like the cheapest Zone 7 seats.

This just made my day. I hope our boys can make your day on Saturday!

It's nice to see a lot of new posters on the boards -- welcome aboard.

I've never bought standing room only before...where are you allowed to watch from? Just the concourse looking out? plaza if you can get a good view?

I would assume the concourse or the massive area just above the second deck. In those regards, TCF Bank Stadium is set up for standing room viewing much better than most college stadiums. I would think it could accommodate a couple thousand standing room viewing locations, at least. Not sure what the fire marshal says, but in general the stadium could soak up a lot of standing room tickets.

Best place to stand IMO is right in front of some codger who doesn't want to stand.....

Only two seats left for sale in section 243, 114 left on Sunday.

I used to have season tickets in 209, but on cold or crowded days I'd frequently watch from the second deck concourse back there. It's still a phenomenal view of the field -- much better than from many seats at other stadiums I've visited. So yes, I'd definitely endorse this vantage point for SRO crowd...

Maverick - Maybe that old codger has supported Gopher Football for 50 years. Maybe that old codger has trouble standing, or getting up and down. That old codger could be your father, grandfather, or a disabled person. If you live that long Maverick you will be that old codger. Instead of blocking the old codgers view, why don't you assist him or her or have some understanding?

Didn't say "old" codger. There's plenty of young'ns who don't stand or bitch about other people standing.... BTW, I am old.

Curious.. do you have issues with people scamming on craigslist? I've been looking around and several of the ads and people I've contacted look like the scams we get for big games.

If it sounds too good to be true ...

If you want into the stadium on this one, you're gonna have to bite the bullet $$$ wise.

Don't buy tickets on Craigslist, and don't use Zelle for your transactions. Basically both red flags. Speaking from personal experience.

I try to be empathetic, but at the same time I’m paying for my season ticket seat. If I want to stand I have every right. If you don’t like someone blocking your view then move your seat. Harsh, yes. But I don’t pay $890 for two season tickets to be told what I can do in my seat.

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary...
Definition of codger: an often mildly eccentric and usually elderly fellow.

Any latest reports on how many tickets are left?

Yes, but obviously paying that cost doesn't give you the "right" to spray beer out of your mouth on people in 360degrees. At least, I hope not.

There are rules and stipulations you agree to when you pay for your seat. In this case, if the people behind you believe that you are unfairly obstructing their view from a seated position, they have the right to ask security to force you to comply with the rules.

Not entirely related but several times this season I've seen folks escorted by cops out of section 140 in the lower seats. Not at all sure what is going on down there.

Sounds to me like 140 parties. I might need to get in that section going forward.

I have sold many tickets on craigslist. Look for specifics, too general of a description is a red flag. Ask about the process for transfer. The ticket office has made transferring tickets very easy - all you need is a name and email. Most of all be realistic, if the deal is too good stay away.

Gotcha.. I ask a ton of questions and know what to look for. I've bought and sold on craigslist successfully many times. Was just curious how rampant it might be. I assume anytime there's a big game there will be those trying to take advantage. Hate seeing anyone get scammed. Appreciate the other responses.

Stadium policy, per the season ticket mailing, expects standing during “significant” plays or moments, but reasonable complaints from others could bring stadium staff to address the matter.
