Gophers Helmets Through the Years

To celebrate college football's 150th anniversary this guy posts a photo of one school's entire helmet history each day from the first game 8/24 through the championship game on 1/13. All 130 FBS schools and 8 Ivy League schools. Here is the Gophers (he's in the middle of the Big Ten at the moment). Very cool project.

Goldy head forever, but the chrome gold is the 2nd best lid in school history. Hope it's still in our rotation.

The chrome gold the Gophers wore against Wisconsin last year was terrific - would love to see more of it. Speaking of 1924, my dad, then in grade school, was peddling newspapers outside the stadium the day Memorial Stadium was dedicated in a game against Illinois. He sneaked inside and watched the Gophers stop Red Grange.
