Since the decade is coming to a close I thought it would be interesting to get everyones take on who would be first and second team all-decade for the Gophers. Mine would be:

First Team

Nate Mason
Andre Hollins
Amir Coffey
Jordan Murphy
Trevor Mbakwe


Second Team

Al Nolen
Blake Hoffarber
Austin Hollins
Damien Johnson
Daniel Oturu


HM
Larry Westbrook
Rodney Williams
Ralph Sampson III
Deandre Mathieu
Gabe Kalscheur
Akeem Springs

This, my friend, through no fault of yours, is a very depressing exercise. Recruiting is obviously why we don't win more!
Gosh, that's a meh list of guys compared to names of the past.

I might substitute Hoffarber for Hollins on the 1st team.
I'd add Joey King to the 2nd or third group.

I didn't look at any stats to help me out but I did scroll through the rosters looking for better candidates and I believe yours is pretty complete.

We gotta do better than this going forward! Hopefully, Ihnen, Carr, Willis, Oturu, Gabe can all force arguments to either be included or ranked higher!

It would be interesting to see the rebounding numbers if Mbakwe and Murphy played together
 

Fun idea! Can we include Reggie Lynch or are we considering the character of the players as well? I think mine would be:

First Team:

Nate Mason
Blake Hoffarber
Amir Coffey

Second Team:

Al Nolen
Andre Hollins
Austin Hollins
Damien Johnson
Reggie Lynch
 


I like your second team for their defense for sure! Weakness is still outside shooting. Hoffarber and Dre Hollings only really good shooters.
 


I'm certain you need Hoffarber on the first team if you want to make a 3 once in a while.

PG: Nate Mason - Best PG
SG: Blake Hoffarber - Best Shooter
SF: Austin Hollins - Best total team player - gets nod over Coffey cause he takes less away from other players
PF: Jordan Murphy - Best rebounder
C: Trevor Mbawkwe - Best BEAST!!!! - Sorry, favorite player on this list!

Bench:
Al Nolen
Amir Coffey
Rodney Williams
Andre Hollins
Reggie Lynch
Ralph Sampson
Lawrence Westbrook

You can say the list is underwhelming but, I'd like our chances with this team going into any year. Good luck getting a rebound with Murph and Trevor in there!
