Saturday Tradition is first out of the gate:

7. Minnesota 3-0 (W, 35-32 vs. Georgia Southern)
Last week: No. 9

Can we officially start calling Minnesota the “Cardiac Gophers” yet? Minnesota hasn’t played great football in any of its first three games, but has found a way to get three tallies in the win column. And, at the end of the day, that’s really all that matters. We’re about to find out a lot more about the Gophers in the next few weeks, now that non-conference play is over and its B1G opponents from here on out. Offensive line play is still a big concern but Minnesota has been able to overcome it so far.

Go Gophers!!

Well, that's a pretty accurate short summary of the season so far. Hard to argue with it.

Gophers currently 37th in both polls.

10. Minnesota (3-0)
Last week: 11. See, it's far from a simple copy-and-paste from last week. The Gophers jumped up a spot, in part because we're a bit more impressed with the late comeback – albeit at home – against Georgia Southern, a good FCS team, 35-32. Tyler Johnson continues to cement his status as the best wideout in the Big Ten with three TD catchs, including the winner with 13 seconds to go.

Next up: at Purdue, Sept. 28, time and TV TBA.

7. MINNESOTA (3-0)
The only true believers in the Golden Gophers have three nail-biters probably reside in their locker room. But Minnesota still is undefeated, thanks to a Tanner Morgan TD pass to Tyler Johnson with 34 seconds left against Georgia Southern and a 35-32 win. It was Johnson's third TD of the game. The Golden Gophers limited Georgia Southern to 189 yards and had five sacks, but this one was supposed to be easier.(Last week: 8)

Detroit Free Press once again showing their skills in calling GSU an FCS team! Some sports section they have!

After three weekends of college football, here are Sports Headliners’ power rankings of Big Ten teams: Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Nebraska, Maryland, Minnesota, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois and Rutgers.

Go Gophers!!

With the Gophers being as low as 13th in some B1G power rankings after going 2-0, could it be possible to be moved out of the power rankings completely by reaching 3-0 against GSU? :)

Black Heart Gold Pants chimes in:

7. Minnesota (3-0)
The only nice thing I have to say about the Gophers are the really cool helmets they wore Saturday. Otherwise Gopher football is gross. They beat South Dakota State, Fresno State and Georgia Southern by a combined 13 points. Get this **** out of here!

Iowa fans were treated to an unhealthy dose of Minnesota football due to the delays, and I am very glad that I got denied admission from that filthy place.

PROBABLY GOOD ENOUGH TO GO BOWLING BECAUSE THE BIG TEN WEST SUCKS
10. Minnesota Golden Gophers
Last week: 35-32 win vs. Georgia Southern (3-0)

SP+ Ranking: 41

Minnesota falls into the probably-good-enough-to-go-bowling category simply because they play some real bums the rest of the way, and I am certain that they can and will beat Illinois, Rutger, and Northwestern, probably Purdue too (if Sindelar is out again). But they fall behind all of the other teams in the tier because they have shown absolutely nothing through three weeks. They’ve played South Dakota State, Fresno State, and Georgia Southern and are legitimately three plays from being 0-3. This is a bad football team.

Its funny because I read these and get angry, want to call all them up and tell them how wrong they are with their sh|tty power rankings (don't they understand the Gophers are undefeated??), but at the same time I am getting testy at all the Gopherholers that say "a win is a win" and "undefeated!" and want to remind me of all the bad teams that have beaten power 5 schools so far this season.

You are ALL wrong! And dumb. And unattractive.

Basically I am the only one that is allowed to be frustrated.

Love this post!

Sure hope we can get a nice road win at Purdue, feel good about the play and keep the undefeated dream season alive.

Daily Nebraskan chimes in:

9. Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-0)

Minnesota barely survived another upset-minded FCS team in Georgia Southern at home, winning 35-32 on a late touchdown. Minnesota was up by 28-20 in the fourth quarter, but Georgia Southern took a 32-28 lead after linebacker Rashad Bryd recovered a fumble and returned it 44 yards to the house with less than four minutes left. Minnesota bounced back from the fumble and regained the lead after quarterback Tanner Morgan hit wide receiver Tyler Jonhson for a two-yard touchdown. The Golden Gophers will need to play sharper with a road date at Purdue up next.

Another idiot reporter that thinks GSU is still an FCS team.

2019/2020 B1G Ten West, B1G Ten Champs and National Title Winners are ranked behind the Gophers? There must be an up roar in Grand Island, NE about this!
