Non-Conference Strength of schedule

There’s been a lot of skepticism about how good the Gophers will do in conference play, but our first two opponents were solid teams. I see a lot of fluff on other Big Ten non-conference schedules, but with GSU as our 3rd game it might make ours look a bit easier. I think with SDSU and Fresno State, we’ve got to be top 3 in the Big Ten for SOS. I think Maryland playing Syracuse is the only reason they might have a tougher non-con schedule than us. Where would you rank the Gophers?

I didn’t look at every team but, my impression is that Michigan’s non conference looks tough with Army and Norte Dame. Wisconsin looks soft. Ohio State looks soft for a team that wants to be in the national playoffs.
Minnesota’s strength of schedule will be made clearer later in the season as their opponents play out their schedules.
