per the Argus Leader:

Row the boat.

You’ve probably heard Minnesota Golden Gophers coach P.J. Fleck’s catchphrase plenty if you pay any attention to Big Ten football. Now in his third year coaching Minnesota, the 38-year-old is either a fiery and energetic breath of fresh air or a blustery ball of hot air, depending on who you ask.

Either way, it won’t take long for a catchphrase to become a punch line if there aren’t wins to go with the hashtags, and Fleck’s program took a step forward last year, going 7-6 and trouncing Georgia Tech 34-10 in the Quick Lane Bowl. They also claimed Paul Bunyan’s Axe in the rivalry game with Wisconsin for the first time since 2003 with their first win at Camp Randall since 1994.

Opinions are mixed as to where the Gophers might fit in the Big Ten picture in 2019, but with a favorable schedule and host of starters returning on both sides of the ball, Minnesota looks like a conference contender as they prepare to open their season Thursday when they host South Dakota State at TCF Bank Stadium.

Go Gophers!!

There they go with that "favorable schedule" take again...

Yup.

It's actually a tremendously difficult schedule, and we should "prepare for disappointment".

How exactly does one do that, by the way?

Do you hide under a sturdy desk? Move to the farthest, most sheltered corner of your house? Buy lots of canned food and bottled water? Double check to make certain your affairs are in order and your will is updated?

I recommend all of the above before watching any Minnesota sports college or pro.
