A stable of sports celebrities and award-winning chefs will be in Edina Monday, July 1, for the inaugural Taste Fore The Tour at Interlachen Country Club.

The fundraising event will be the “first course” for the 3M Open, a new professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour to be held July 4-7 at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine. The evening’s four-course meal will be prepared by a foursome of James Beard-recognized chefs, led by TV host, chef, writer and teacher Andrew Zimmern. The acclaimed chefs will include Gavin Kaysen and Diane Moua of Bellecour, Demi and Spoon & Stable; Thomas Boemer of Corner Table, In Bloom and Revival; and Jamie Malone of Eastside Restaurants and Grand Café.

Program hosts will include NBC sportscaster Michele Tafoya and former NFL players Matt Birk and Ben Leber. The celebrity guest list features current players, legendary sports figures and popular personalities, including Devan Dubnyk, P.J. Fleck, Tim Herron, Kent Hrbek, Joe Mauer, Mike Max, Randall McDaniel, Paul Molitor, Lou Nanne, Mark Rosen, Kyle Rudolph, Ron Schara, Carly Zucker, Jason Zucker and more.

The guest of honor for the first-ever Taste Fore The Tour will be six-time major champion and CBS golf analyst, Sir Nick Faldo. Faldo and Taste Fore The Tour Founder Wayne Kostroski officially announced the event during a CBS Sports special, “Sir Nick Takes Off The Armor,” which originally aired May 18.
