LB Cody Lindenberg Commits to Gophers!

Question: I know you may have to sit out a year for various transfers. Would you have to sit out a year from Augsburg to North Dakota State or Minnesota?

Hmmmm, I am going to say immediately eligible because wasn't on an athletic scholarship at the D3 school.

If we are talking about anoka Hennepin district didn’t we just have a Blaine DB or Linebacker graduate a year or two ago?

Anoka was a football power basically until Andover opened. All the schools in the district took a hit when Andover opened, Nelson left from Blaine to Tonka shortly after.
They’re still recovering.

Same thing happened in south metro when Eastview opened.
Same thing happened in east metro when east ridge opened.
When you take large chunks out of attendance zones, hire teachers and coaches away, it takes the system a bit to equal out.

You can now see the resurgence of Blaine, Woodbury, Rosemount etc

It was a totally different era and transfer rules were quite different. From my math, Nelson spent five years in college (He was a 1969 high school grad and was drafted by the Patriots in 1974 after his senior season). I don't know if he had to sit out or decided to red-shirt after transferring.

So then the discussion should stop on the thread if nothing else needs to be said as opposed to getting hung up on McMansion etc.

Your post has absolutely nothing to do with the Cody. Try to stay on topic.

The one score there that surprises me a little is Kamal Martin. He seems much more athletic than that score would lead on. Curious to see how Josh Aune's career goes by the time he's done here.

Preaching to the choir here but my takeaway considering guys like D. Jones and Celestin are on the opposite ends of the scale from their effectiveness on the field is a good sparq is nice to have but ultimately maybe doesn’t set a ceiling. Nubin and Shenault have similar testing - will they be similar players? Doubtful for a whole bunch of reasons I probably don’t have to spell out. Time will tell.
