This is of course if he doesn't have an amazing season and feel like he has options in the draft next year.....but dang I wouldn't hate having another year with an upperclassman at DL.

Wow, this is great news. To be able to get two years out of him would be great. Clearly plugs some more holes in the defensive side where we had been short in the past. With this, hopefully more stronger showings as a team that leads to more positive recruiting yet. Go Gophers!

Didn't even realize that was a possibility for him but clearly this is great news! Even if he doesn't end up being a starter he adds depth and experience along the D-Line.

It's the NCAA, at this point you can submit a waver for any reason and who the hell knows!

He got a 6th year waiver, getting back his 2016 season

2015 - Redshirt
2016 - Injured (broken foot)
2017 - 9 games
2018 - 11 games

Wonder why, back in 2017, that Notre Dame didn't petition for another year? Looks like they don't support their players very well...
