I say 11-7 conference record: 3-1 in home only games, 2-2 in away only games and 6-4 in home/away series games. Although a lot can change with transfers etc.

Notre Dame and Arizona St, already an upgrade from last season non conference schedule.

Even the conference schedule should provide a bit of a boost, with two games against Iowa and OSU and only one against seemingly doomed Illinois and PSU

Looks like the Gophers are playing at George Washington on dec 10th.

The Colonials won't travel outside of the District for the rest of the slate, starting with a home matchup against Minnesota (Dec. 10). The Golden Gophers, coming off a trip to the WNIT, are the lone program on the schedule that the Colonials have never faced. GW has now hosted at least one Power 5 non-conference foe in 22 of the last 23 campaigns dating back to 1996-97.

What we know about the non-con thus far:

219 @ George Washington
150 Montana State
16 Arizona State
2 @ Notre Dame

Historically, the full schedule for both women's and men's basketball appears sometime during the run of the fair as the Big Ten releases the schedule in late August. We can hope that this history continues to repeat!

Hopefully no additional teams in the triple digit RPI.

Usually, it's a week before the fair.

That way they have the ticket specials at the booth ready to go.

It would be the Vancouver Showcase. If you look at the article and review their schedule, Houston has Stanford, Syracuse, Mississippi State and Gophers listed but not on regular games listed up top. one would assume those are 5 of the 8 teams that will go to 2019 Vancouver showcase. hell of a tournament if gophers are in that if you ask me.

I also see Minnesota mentioned in this University of Houston article (3rd paragraph), but not on their non-conference schedule. Maybe they're talking about a holiday tournament, I'm not sure...

https://uhcougars.com/news/2019/7/8/womens-basketball-houston-announces-non-conference-schedule.aspx

Updated schedule known to date:

Sunday November 10th-Vermont

Sunday November 17th-Arizona State

Saturday November 23rd- Montana State

Vancouver Showcase Tournament (Thursday November 28th, Friday November 29th and Saturday November 30th)
(Known/Listed Team: Gophers, Houston, Stanford, Syracuse, Mississippi State and 3 remaining)

Wednesday December 4th- at Notre Dame

Tuesday December 10th-at George Washington

Assuming its another 11 game non-conference schedule, there is only 3 remaining games to be found out. Montana State and Vermont each have seniors from MN so my guess is that was the planning behind adding them.

Adding Vermont with last season's final NCAA RPI:

279 Vermont
219 @ George Washington
150 Montana State
16 Arizona State
2 @ Notre Dame

Cal Baptist is also at the Vancouver Showcase.

Add UC Davis:
Sunday, Dec. 15 — AT MINNESOTA: The Golden Gophers finished 21-11 overall and 9-9 in the Big Ten Conference, finishing tied for sixth during the regular season… They advanced to the second round of the WNIT before falling to Cincinnati… This will be the first meeting between Minnesota and UC Davis, and only the second meeting with a Big Ten school after the Aggies battled Indiana in the "Elite Eight" of the 2018 WNIT… The Golden Gophers return three of their top four scorers off of last season's squad, led by junior guard Destiny Pitts, who averaged 16.3 ppg and shot 42 percent from the field.

With UC Davis:

279 Vermont
219 @ George Washington
150 Montana State
71 UC Davis
16 Arizona State
2 @ Notre Dame

Add a visit to the American University Eagles:

Included in the 11-game nonconference schedule is an exciting home slate, featuring WNIT Tournament qualifiers Villanova (November 14), High Point (Nov. 18), and Minnesota (Dec. 8), and local foe George Washington (December 22)

279 Vermont
219 @ George Washington
150 Montana State
75 @ American
71 UC Davis
16 Arizona State
2 @ Notre Dame

Much better than last years. Already 4 top 100 RPI and possibly more with the Vancouver Showcase.

No schedule out yet....but the ticket deal at the fair is for the November 17 Arizona State game. Four tickets for $10. That is the only women's basketball ticket offer at the fair as of today.

Looks like its one more game that is unknown and we will know the whole non-conference schedule. My guess is that it will be a home game sometime.

It's worth noting that Notre Dame is unlikely to have an RPI that good this season, having lost virtually everyone. In fact, they may be the victim of the same kind of success Minnesota has found in South Bend in the past?

Good point.

But even if ND gets an RPI in the 40s, beating them away would be a huge feather in our own RPI. Go Gophers, beat up on inexperienced Irish!

Besides, ND will have a ton of high-RPI teams on its schedule, so the way RPI works, we’ll benefit from that big-time. Getting ND on the schedule could prove to be a huge coup for Whay and the team.

Not if ND loses to those "high" (I assume you mean low?) RPI teams.
