Shouldnt be much of a surprise but Delaynie Byrne is transferring.

Byrne, Stewart, Finau and Mahouchiza; one of the quietest recruiting classes ever.

Not a surprise. I raised this possibility after watching the first NIT game in a different thread.

With five freshmen coming in along with a hopefully healthy Hubbard (and Brunson), she could likely see the handwriting on the wall of very little playing time. Assuming they do post season exit interviews, that may also been a part of the discussion and decision making on her part. Wish Delaynie all the best!

She needs a lot of development time. She's hearing footsteps from the 2019 class (Sconiers & Cummings).

A fresh start at another program maybe closer to home will do her good. Good luck Delaynie!

Not a P5 caliber player. A big who wanted to play outside the arc. As others have said, the Gophers recruited over her with a number of players that were probably going to play more than she was next year. I wish her well; hope she lands somewhere where she'll be able to contribute. As Iggy points out, that recruiting class was a colossal flop.

What - a NY Trio in Brunson, Sconiers, and Patterson?
