If it's still only 5 players, I'd go:

Edwards
Fernando
Happ
Stevens
Winston

Until they start playing more than 5 at a time.

Ethan Happ
Jordan Murphy
Lamar Stevens
Cassius Winston
Carsen Edwards

Fernando-C
Happ-PF
Coffey-SF
Edwards-SG
Winston-PG

I'm sticking to positions, don't care that Coffey plays out of position. Murphy deserves it more but Happ>Murphy.

I would not chose Stevens over Coffey or Murpy. He is putting up very good stats on an overall bad team. They are finishing strong.

Love Murph and Coffey, but there were too many conference games where they disappeared or were a non-factor. I think they're definitely 2 of the top 10, but not quite top 5.

1st Team:
Winston
Edwards
Coffey
Happ
Fernando

2nd Team:
Cowan
Palmer
Stevens
Murphy
J. Morgan

3rd Team:
Z. Simpson
Matthews
Brazdeikis
Tyler Cook
N. Ward

Did I miss something? How and why are they including 10 guys on the 1st team?

10 listed is a dumb idea. Might as well just give the honor to every player on every team.

1) I don't think the Big Ten is going 10 players on the 1st Team. (I could be wrong, but I haven't seen that anywhere).

2) We know the inconsistencies of Murphy and Coffey because we watch our team all the time. Anyone outside of Happ, Edwards, and Winston were non-factors at times, including Stevens, and especially James Palmer.

3) Ryan Kline, while a fine player, averaged 10 points per game. That isn't even top 40 in the Big Ten. Anthony Cowan absolutely goes on any team ahead of Kline and probably ahead of Stevens and Palmer. Cowan hit a lot of big shots all season long for Maryland, including some daggers against MN, WIS, and Iowa. Has nice assist and steals numbers. I would have him nearly on the first team, even if it were only five players. Absolutely belongs on a ten-team first team, no questions asked.

4) Freshman Langford and Brazdeiskis probably could find a spot on one of those teams, too.

I wouldn’t be upset by Fernando beating out Murphy, but it’s close.

Cline was a reach, yes, more a tip of the cap to a guy I've seen make a lot of huge shots this season. And I brain-cramped on Iggy. He's likely to be in the top 10, and B1G Newcomer of the Year (over Dosunmu). I'll stick with my 10 (and 5), see how it goes.

It's pretty hard to argue with Stevens' numbers. 18.6 ppg and 7.4 rpg in Big Ten games only. And it's not like he's a one-man team. Penn State has some other productive players.
