Teams that will not play in WNIT.
Georgia: Q. Will you consider a bid in the WNIT or not?
I knew you were going to ask me that question. We will not. The NIT is a great tournament. There's a lot of great teams that play in it.

Again, you look at Georgia basketball, what we've done, what Coach Landers did, former players did, what we want to do. We come to Georgia to play in the NCAA tournament. So we will not take a bid to the NIT if given one.
Utah: (Because of injury they are down to seven players and need the rest).

Georgia Tech: (Ongoing mystery involving Head Coach and former Purdue standout, Machelle Joseph, being placed on leave, etc. and etc.)

Do we have a shot this year?

I believe I read on Twitter that Purdue also has said no WNIT for them.

A shot to play or win it, you mean? If they want to play in it, they're in, probably hosting (depending on availability of the Barn).

I dont follow the womens game much outside of watching the gophers if they are on TV or listening on the radio if I'm driving somewhere, so I was asking if we'd make it. Didnt even realize there was a chance we would refuse.

It’d be kind of presumptuous of a first year coach to turn down any invite. That’s something your long-timer coaches do. In the last postgame, it sounded like whatever comes their way is what they’re doing.

Looks like they broadcast the WNIT championship on CBS Sports Network.

A quick look at the boy's tournament brackets that are out there so far make it appear that the 22nd is the likely day for a first WNIT game here. Boys games at the Barn on the 20th and 21st so far from what I can see.

Heard Mark Coyle on WCCO this morning. Essentially he said that the Gophers could host at least the first 3 dates and wouldn't have any real conflicts until the time of the Final Four.

Friday 22nd would work best for Gopher fans.
