season.

In 14 Big Ten games this season he is 6-8: a .429 winning percentage.

Overall in Big Ten play during his tenure at Minnesota, his record is 37-67 for a .356 winning percentage. That is an increase of 12 basis points over his cumulative record in Big Ten play of .344 at the end of the 2017/2018 Big Ten season. The remaining games in Big Ten play this season are important.

The negative implications of firing and buying out still another revenue sport coach could put a new coach in such a hole in the first season that he/she may never be able to dig him/her self out.

Things are slightly on the up-swing for Golden Gopher's Men's Basketball. More harm is often done by replacing a hoops coach than in finding any and everything positive about the existing Men's hoops coach.

The numbers tell me that Dick Pitino needs to be retained as the head Men's Hoops Coach at the University of Minnesota. He has MORE Big Ten wins in this 2018/2019 season than he had last year. The trend is your friend kids. Dick Pitino is on an uptick in the tough Big Ten Men's Hoops Conference. And: he beat the stinking hawkeye AND the stinking badger this year. I give him a vote of confidence! COMPETE GOPHER! Every Big Ten win is a win to treasure.
