per Axios Sports:

What do Brock Berlin, Vince Young and Mark Sanchez have in common? They were all the top-rated QBs in their respective recruiting class. What do they not have in common? Pretty much everything that happened after that.

2000: Brock Berlin (Florida): Berlin sat behind Rex Grossman before transferring to Miami. He briefly played for the St. Louis Rams in 2007 and 2008, appearing in two games.

Now: He sells medical devices in Louisiana.
2001: Brodie Croyle (Alabama): Croyle led Bama to a (now vacated) 10-2 season as a senior before being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. NFL stats: 181/319, 1,669 yards, 8 TD, 9 INT.

Now: He's a director at Big Oak Ranch, a Christian organization his father founded.
2002: Vince Young (Texas): Young was a sensation in college, compiling a 30-2 record as a starter and delivering one of the best performances ever. He lasted six seasons in the NFL after being taken No. 3 overall by the Tennessee Titans.

Now: He made headlines for all the wrong reasons last week, as he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
2003: Kyle Wright (Miami): Following a mediocre career at Miami (38 TD, 31 INT), Wright enjoyed brief stints with the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers.

Now: He's an Application Sales Manager at Oracle.
2004: Rhett Bomar (Oklahoma): After an impressive redshirt freshman campaign, he was kicked off the team following a payment scandal. He transferred to Sam Houston State, where he excelled, then hung around the NFL for a few years.

Now: He's a high school football coach in Texas.
2005: Mark Sanchez (USC): After winning the Rose Bowl in his lone season as USC's starter, Sanchez was taken fifth overall by the New York Jets. Fun fact: He's somehow tied with Tom Brady for third all-time in road playoff wins (4).

Now: He started two games for the Washington Redskins last season.

Part II (2006-2010) coming tomorrow.

Go Gophers!!

Go Gophers!!

Brady has played just 8 playoff road games in his career (4-4), while Sanchez has played all 6 of his on the road (4-2).

Flip side, Brady has 26 more career home playoff wins than Sanchez.

kind of sucks to give career updates for all the other qbs and then say that vince young got a dui last week as if that's all he's ever done since the nfl.

Brady is SOOOO overrated. Did you know he has only played in 2 Pro Bowls over his entire career? TWO!

I hope you are being sarcastic. How many superstar players played in the Pro Bowl the past 20 years? Plus he was usually busy prepping for a different game when the Pro Bowl was going on.

Part 2:

2006: Matthew Stafford (Georgia): Stafford broke tons of passing records at Georgia before being drafted No. 1 overall by the Detroit Lions in 2009.

Now: He still plays for the Lions and is arguably the best QB in franchise history. Still hasn't won a playoff game, though.
2007: Jimmy Clausen (Notre Dame): Evaluators called Clausen "the kid with the golden arm," but the stardom he was destined for never came. He went 16-18 at Notre Dame and made 14 starts in his brief NFL career.

Now: Clausen covers the Fighting Irish for NBC Sports.
2008: Terrelle Pryor (Ohio State): Pryor was an absolute stud for the Buckeyes, but his success was overshadowed by the scandal that forced him to leave school.

Now: He's since converted to wide receiver and played sparingly for the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills last season.
2009: Matt Barkley (USC): Barkley left USC as the Pac-12's all-time leading passer and holds the school record for career passing yards (12,327) and TD passes (116). He was drafted by the Eagles in 2013.

Now: The journeyman started a game for the Bills last season.
2010: Philip Sims (Alabama): After losing his starting job in Tuscaloosa, Sims transferred to Virginia then D-II Winston-Salem University. He spent some time in the NFL but ultimately flamed out.

Now: He coaches high school football in Virginia.
2011-15: Jeff Driskell (Cincinnati Bengals), Jameis Winston (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Max Browne (YouTube football analyst), Kyle Allen (Carolina Panthers), Josh Rosen (Arizona Cardinals)

2016-19: Shea Patterson (Michigan), Davis Mills (Stanford), Trevor Lawrence (Clemson), Spencer Rattler (Oklahoma)

Go Gophers!!
