Plain english. No "executive speak". Non-"political".

Republicans like to keep fanning the flames on her so she keeps getting more press coverage. The more she gets, the more the Democratic party appears to be in line with her goals.
Right painting the left as extreme. Same as left does with the alt-right.

The difference I think is that maybe 5% of people believe in the alt-right stuff, whereas AOC probably has 15-30% (millennials with student debt and socialism fans) of probably voters.
I would consider it a danger for the Republicans to keep fanning the flames because it could backfire where that percentage grows from 15-30% to 35-40% which would win a three-way election.

Saying someone in politics is "stupid" is similar to naming your dog's last dropping of fecal matter.
You might believe it, and some might disagree that it's appropriate but in the end it just doesn't matter.

In most cases when someone says someone in politics is "stupid" they really just have different theories on the correct way to solve a problem.

i don't want money to be the deciding factor in elections. i also don't want politicians deciding who gets to donate their money to whom.

AOC got every witness at the hearing to answer her questions exactly the way she wanted them to. It was a masterful performance.

Yes of course ..... but you do have to sort of look with some kind of amazement at what the Mercer's and their lieutenants (Bannon, Miller) were able to pull off. It truly could be a once in a lifetime thing for a lot of us. To take a very, very clearly 5% ish niche of a socio-political worldview (Brietbart-ism, alt-right, whatever) and get a puppet figurehead to go out and sell it ... and get that 5% (obviously) plus another 45% to buy it!!

The sad part is that the system is rigged so that candidates think they have to raise money to win.

It’s all spent on TV ads, which are the biggest scam in history. People mute the TV or change the channel, they hate them so much. A TV ad has never caused a person to vote for someone, in if itself.

Often it's dissuading you from voting for for the other guy/gal. I.E. I don't like Trump, but after seeing 300 "Hillary is Satan" ads, I just coudln't pull the trigger for her.
