    Default Oregon GOP Senators

More, less, or as equally despicable as the senators who fled Wisconsin?

Rural Oregon is as gross as rural Alabama, when it comes to wrongness in attitude and worldview.

The governor’s hint that she would consider sending troopers in the event of a second walkout triggered an aggressive response from Boquist, which was captured by a KGW news team at the Capitol.

“This is what I told the superintendent,” Boquist said, referring to OSP Superintendent Travis Hampton. “Send bachelors and come heavily armed.

The Senators say they'll violently resist law enforcement's attempt to return them,, and now they have a right-wing militia ready to back them up. So this is one of those exceptions to blue lives mattering?

The right wing have lost their minds. Are they really going to kill troopers or guardsmen trying to return them to their jobs that they ran campaigns for and took an oath to uphold? This is what happens when most of your political party is the product of inbreeding.

Do you really have to question it?? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundy_standoff

That's who you're dealing with here. Representatives of people like that, and those who sympathize with them.

Democrats have a supermajority in Oregon, allowing them the rare opportunity to pass the legislation of their dreams — but without Republicans, they can’t achieve a quorum. No quorum, no vote. GOP senators said they had two options: allow a bill to pass that they said would devastate their constituents, or make a run for it.

“We will not stand by and be bullied by the majority party any longer," Senate Republican Leader Herman Baertschiger, Jr. said in a Thursday statement. “Oregonians deserve better.”

If Oregon GOP senators are going to break the law, then Oregon Dem senators should break the law back: put "illegal" sit-ins for the missing senators, and have them "vote" (or press the button, whatever) in their place, with a vote of absent. Done and done.

Exaggerate much? WTF are talking about? Kill troopers?

Here’s the truth. The wacko lefties in the Oregon legislature don’t want voters to have a say on this extremist climate change legislation or have a chance to vote it down in a future election.

Eventually, the left is going to destroy the entire west coast with horrible politics.

...HB 2020 contains an emergency clause, which ensures that it would take effect once signed by the governor. Otherwise, the law wouldn’t kick in until 91 days after the legislative session adjourns. (The actual cap-and-trade system wouldn’t roll out until 2021.)

The emergency clause also makes fighting the policy tougher for opponents. It means they can’t use the state’s referendum process to refer the cap-and-trade law to voters in the November 2020 election, though they’d still have another, more difficult option open to them. Republicans have railed against this fact.

“What is the emergency on this bill?” asked Rep. Duane Stark, R-Grants Pass, in a marathon six-hour debate before the House passed cap and trade Monday. “This bill lays out goals for 31 years. Ninety-one days isn’t going to really hurt. I personally can think of no other purpose than keeping the voters from being able to weigh in.”...

    They already did.

Extremist libertarians in rural Oregon are far outnumbered, so they should get very little say in what happens in the state. If they don't like that, GTFO

Who'd have thought that. The Republicans turn to violence when they don't get what they want. Pretty sick stuff here.

What's destroying the western states is the horrible effects of rapid climate change, not one person's opinion of horrible politics.

You are a fool among fools.

Would certainly hope so! Very doubtful though. These people have their land out in the woods ("Ruby Ridge") and want to keep living out a fantasy that they live in their own country and don't have to pay for anything, and can live off the land. Dangerous, mentally diseased folks.

Wanting to live off the land is dangerous and mentally diseased? I live off the land as much as I can.
