Found some of these stats interesting. Posted in another thread but figured since this is a hot topic on here, laying it out in its own thread was a good idea.

These are for the entire season (non-conference and conference) and ranks compared to the rest of the conference are for ALL games played. I cannot find the info for conference games only.

The Gophers are 8th in the B1G in FT % (.682%). We are 2nd in attempts with 26.0 per game (26.1 Iowa) and 2nd in free throws MADE per game with 17.7/gm (19.6 Iowa)

The Gophers have 0 players in the top 10 of the conference, whereas Iowa has 3 players in the top 10 for %.

FWIW, wisconsin is 12th in %, last in attempts and last in FTs made per game.

Not saying wisconsin is bad or anything, but its surprising they are last in attempts with a high usage post player who is a terrible free throw shooter. You would think he could get them into the middle of the conference in attempts but he clearly does not.

Only the Gophers will lower themselves to playing Hack-a-Happ!

Or, more appropriately, Slap-a-Happ!

I went to look at KenPom, wondering if the Badgers would look a little better in rate stats since they play so slow.

Nope.

Conference games: dead last in FT % (59.9%); dead last in FTA / FGA (24.5) (this is how often you get to the FT line relative to how often you take a FG attempt). Wow.
