Yes but PJ isnt an X and Os guy. No idea if Simon qualifies as one but having a former wideout coach as head coach and one as your OC doesnt seem like the best fit. If Simon is that guy, youd probably want him to transition to a QB coach to give him run of the offense.

I believe the staff are in San Antonio today and theyre probably talking to a bunch of folks. If an announcement is made quickly, I think that would tell us a lot.....

    Clay Patterson perhaps?

That's true. But Coordinator and Head Coach are entirely different skill sets.

I hope the new guy has a last name that's easier to spell.

Greg Schiano was let go as D-coordinator at OSU.
I'd expect Fleck to bring him on board in some capacity if possible.

    I like Kirk.
Was hoping he would stay here.

No thanks. We should stay far, far away from Schiano

Me too. If its a money thing, would love to see if that issue could be solved with a bump here.

It will be hard for PJ to say no to his favorite mentor.

Is this a done deal? That's a big chunk of offensive know how going out the door. What's the deal? More money? Closer to home and family? Tired of PJ's gimmicks?

    Agreed.
You can call me Shirley. The "S" has to stand for something!

I could see Simon getting that opportunity in 2020.
