I think we need an extra one from this bucket, to make up for the "Big Boy" bucket. I have a hard time seeing us beating Michigan or winning @ MSU. Maybe Michigan at home, but man they are good.

We could also get Indiana to wrap up that bucket.

This was a big win. Need to clean up at home now and steal a couple more road wins for some cushion pending any slip ups.

6-1 in our next 7 is a very realistic possibility. Feel like 5-2 is a must.

I think with how the Big Ten is shaking out, we don't even have to worry about "buckets" at this stage. ANY combination of nine more wins puts us at 11-9 in the Big Ten and 21-10 overall and that will 100% make it a stress free Selection Sunday no matter what buckets the wins come from. Eight more wins at 10-10 almost certainly is enough to get us in at this stage, too.

We should be favored (and win) in 6 of the next 7 games. We really need to pile up wins before a tough stretch late in the season.

Utah won @ Arizona State last night

Never hurts to get even the tiniest bit of help.

What a mess the Pac 12 is.

I'll be interested in seeing what our NET is this morning. We entered at 52. Should move into the top 40 after that. We moved from 64 in Kenpom to 49 after last night. Can't State how big of a win this was.

This is my favorite thread to check out after games. Thanks SS!

Just watched much of the Maryland-Rutgers game. Maryland is going to be a very tough win, even at home. They have two bigs (Fernando and Smith) that are athletic and can shoot. It will be tough for Murphy inside against them. Then, they have a PG (Cowan) that can get to the hoop and also shoot. I was really impressed with them. The TV guys conjectured that Maryland could be ranked come Monday. Maryland > Wisconsin. Would be another great win if we can pull it off.

I totally agree! But it still ain't gonna be easy to accomplish. We need the next one on Tuesday...one at a time.

Yes, thanks for project/post SelectionSunday!

Will be a tough game, no doubt. Hopefully team continues to improve with Curry's presence. He definitely made them better against UW. Will be interesting to see if IW plays.

Illinois will be tough.

Illinois will be tough.

Illinois isn’t very good.
Every game will be tough. Even Rutgers was a lot better last year I thought, but if we can’t beat Illinois it means we aren’t very good either

Sports are about matchups. I don’t view Illinois as a gimme’ at all, especially on the road. They like to pressure, right? With our guard situation, I could see Gophers struggling a lot vs. defensive pressure.

Unlike the Wisconsin game, that’s probably one we’d need Jelly to give us a lot, and turnover-free, minutes.

Feels like an "Amir needs to show up and be assertive" game. That'll pretty much be a theme for most games moving forward.

With tonight's disappointing loss to Maryland, the Gophers are now 3-1 in Hodger's "Likely Favored But Not A Gimme' -- no worse than 6-3" category.

Go Gophers!!

Well, last night sucked. Need to deliver on these next three before we score a major upset and win at Michigan!

Next 3.

Rutgers
@ Illinois
Penn State

If Gophers desire a NCAA bid, need these 3. Avoid "bad loss".
