If the NCAA Tournament bracket was put into a "S" curve strictly using today's NET rankings, this is a rough idea what the bracket would look like. Note, to avoid a 1st-round matchup of teams from the same conference (Saint John's vs. Butler), #39 Butler and #40 Belmont flipped opponents.

The #47 Gophers currently are in the field as one of the "last 4 in".

Don't understand why Northwestern and Purdue would be in with a higher rank at this point, as they haven't really done anything.

#56 - Let's go Drake! I might just have to travel anywhere if both my teams ended up in the same regional.

How is Wisconsin #4 with their two losses. Not a fan of the NET rankings so far.

The NET will sort itself out as the season progresses, but I think Wisconsin's high ranking to this point makes sense. Wins over #6 NC State and #15 Oklahoma (22-2 record combined), and Badgers' only two losses are to teams having really good seasons (#2 Virginia 11-0, #13 Marquette 10-2). Also won @ #36 Iowa. That's a really good resume at this point of the season.

Current NET rankings for our non-conference opponents:

Omaha: 177 (much higher than I thought it would be)
Utah: 134
Texas A&M: 73
Santa Clara: 242
Washington: 55
BC: 102
Oklahoma St: 68
Arkansas St: 211
North Florida: 194
NC A&T: 237
MSM: 320

Let's just cancel the Mount St Mary's game... :)

Omaha has found their groove a little bit. Have won 3 straight heading into Summit League play. They're 6-7, but have played a pretty tough schedule (Gophers, Colorado, Iowa State, Arizona State, Oregon). Not sure they're equipped to unseat Mike Daum & South Dakota State, but it's possible they may be the next best team. Summit is pretty wide open after SDSU.

Oklahoma State sinking fast.
