It's also obvious that Trump announced this having consulted exactly no one other than Erdogan. He announced it impulsively and his staff had to not only talk him down and reverse course, but also fan out across the globe to convince our allies that we don't really make foreign policy decisions so rashly.

Wow, Dean S, your kindness proves that you would be the type to have a homeless man live in your basement out of the tenderness of your heart.

    There's some merit to that.

But my assumption is going to be if they don't have a meaningful exit plan that doesn't have a long timeline, then Trump is getting trumped by his own advisors and military leaders. We always find an excuse to stay. Sick.

So? Don't you find conducting foreign policy this way refreshing?

If you'd like some help learning how to properly quote a post, I'm sure several here will help you out. This modern technology can be tricky for the elderly.

I am certain that many in the military are against it (leaving Syria) I am also 100 % certain that Trump discussed the options with the military- it is foolish to say otherwise.

You get really worked up about people insulting the military, except when Dear Leader's actions require you to do it. When you were in the Army, which Ranger battalions or regiments did you command?
