Go Gophers!!

I'm probably a unicorn on Gopherhole for watching the D3 Championship/Stagg Bowl game now, and the FCS semi-finals DVR'd to follow...but man alive, I love college football. The college game is sooooo much better than the NFL. These kids are playing their hearts out in the playoffs.

Stagg Bowl is entertaining, as usual.

It’s great. I watch as much CFB as schedule allows. Tonight, have watched both.
Even stated during Vikings v Seattle game, “I would rather be watching the Rice Owls v New Mexico State in Las Cruces than this.” Wife says, “That’s pretty bad.”

They (GA Southern) run vast majority of option attack out of gun / pistol formations and their HC brought that with him from his time spent at New Mexico. They will go under center from time to time but not anywhere near what GT does with their Flex Bone. I’d be surprised if we see them under center more than a handful of times, if at all.

Other Bowl Games Thread

Bowl season is underway boys. Soon as Kansas vs Villanova basketball is over, I'm going to start with North Texas. Their defensive captain played grade school ball with my son and graduated from Spring Lake Park. His name has evolved over the years, but UNT has it as: E.J. EJIYA (#22)

Fresno St tied with Arizona St. Fresno probably should be leading but they fumbled into the endzone for an ASU touchback

Been watching the Fresno State game off and on. They're shooting themselves in the foot. When not doing so, they look like the better team.

I know in reality it won't make a difference but cheering for Fresno and GA Southern to win so they look better heading into next fall and the Gopher victory will look just a tad better :)

Is Fresno St led by seniors? I hope so, that will be a tough road game next year. Our 2019 non conference schedule will be against three teams with 10+ wins in 2018. Winning programs.

Nice to see Fresno State winning. It makes the Gophers win look better.
As for next season...we all know that PJ is looking to 2020 as the year of arrival...so losing at Fresno will be unconcerning.

Fresno wins. Means gophs will finish with a team ranked in the final rankings this year for the first time in pretty much forever

I think Fresno's QB is a Senior this year as well as Keesean Johnson.

Northern Illinois finally cracked the UAB defense to score just before the end of the first Q. 10-7 UAB leads.

Ohio is up 10-0 over my San Diego State Aztecs in the Frisco Bowl.

Go Aztecs!!

Watching the BYU vs WMU game after the fact and Zachary Wilson, a true freshmen QB for BYU, looks good. I see the Gophers offered him and his name sounded familiar.

Army absolutely killing Houston. Damn. Very impressed

That and Houston has the worst bowl game defense and scheme (none) I’ve ever seen. Did I hear them say 124th ranked? Army’s very good. Houston is horrendous.

So bizarre way to start the football day. Because of weather , the First Responder Bowl has officially been cancelled and ruled a no contest.

I'm not sure I ever remember a bowl game ending after it started. Not sure I ever remember one cancelled either, now that I think about it...

This TCU Cal game has turned into a turnover fest. Some really poor throws/decisions by both QB's. WTF
