In 1869, the Rutgers Queensmen (That's what they went by back then) beat the Princeton Tigers 6-4.

I had always thought it would be a great idea for Princeton and Rutgers to play each other in 2019. It was seen as ridiculous for an Ivy League team to play a Big Ten team. The thing is, if Princeton and Rutgers were to play a game this year at Rutgers, Princeton would be favored by 7.19 points according to Sagarin.

HOME ADVANTAGE=[ 2.30]
90 Princeton AA = 64.97 10 0 37.64( 212) 0 0 | 0 0 | 64.49 92 | 62.63 97 | 67.89 74 IVY LEAGUE
120 Rutgers A = 55.48 1 11 74.05( 33) 0 3 | 0 4 | 56.31 118 | 53.84 128 | 48.80 155 BIG TEN-EAST

It'd be awesome if they did that - even if it was an exhibition game or scrimmage or something.

Yeah, that would be great if they played each other. Just found the history chronology of NFL with the college football mentioned as well - didn't know they used modified London Football Association rules then.

You'd think after 150 years they would have figured out an adequate way to determine the national champion.

I cannot recall the exact dynamics, but it been proposed that Rutgers and Princeton play in 2019. One of the two
parties backed away, but if Princeton is even partly as good as they were this past season, its a great game.
