Which of those teams finished ranked?

Okay then, two streaks come to an end this year. The 11 game losing streak to ranked teams and the 14 game losing streak. (I'm sure you can figure this one out)

Out of our last 13 wins, only 5 ended up ranked end of season. (EOS):

1990 Iowa Gutekunst No. 13 Iowa 13 10
1993 Wisconsin Wacker No. 15 Wisconsin 15 6
1996 Syracuse Wacker No. 23 Syracuse* 23 21
1999 Penn State Mason at No. 2 Penn State 2 11
2000 Illinois Mason No. 22 Illinois 22 x

Of the last 5, only one.

Unless something has changed over the past 2 years the gophers are last in the Big Ten in winning percentage vs ranked teams...I put together some numbers 2 years ago and posted and at that time they were last.

The Gophers have been pretty bad against a lot of teams. They last finished as high as 3rd in the Big Ten in 1973. That's 45 years ago.

Is anybody surprised that they've been very bad against ranked opponents?

Agree! We can change our best the next two weeks! I very much like going 1-0 three, scratch that, four games in a row!

What about Washington state?

What about Washington state?

They reverse of Northwestern. WSU was ranked going into their previous game against Washington, but lost and weren't ranked against Minnesota.

NW wasn't ranked last week, but got into the rankings this week. #22 College Playoffs and #24 AP. They still aren't ranked in the Coaches Poll.

Hope they are out of all 3 of them Sunday afternoon.

Just looked back at Week 14 in 2017. Guess you were right Jay and the rest of us were wrong.

Washington State was ranked. The Coach's Poll still had them at #22 after the loss to Washington.

We didn't play Washington State in 2017.

Here are week by week rankings for AP and coaches. (2016)

They were out of both polls as of Nov 27th and didn't return.

Some nice wins by Mase. Should have kept him.

Well there's that.

But something here killed that.

2000 NC State L 30–38
2002 Arkansas W 29–14
2003 Oregon W 31–30
2004 Alabama W 20–16
2005 Virginia L 31–34
2006 Texas Tech L 44–41 OT
