All Things 2018-19 Other College Basketball Games Thread

Pretty sure the guys who reffed our Penn State game just did the Vandy game.
Perhaps refs just suck no matter where.
Tenn wins 88-83 in OT

Wiscy and Illinois both playing poorly.

9-1 second half foul differential favoring the Illini with 14:45 to go in the Wisconsin Illinois game.

And Illinois is in the double bonus for the final 13:34. 10 fouls to 2.

Illinois against the Gophers: 56% FG / 50% 3PT (8-16) / 86% FT (13-15)
Illinois currently against Wiscy: 35% FG / 15% 3PT (3-19) / 55% FT (11-20)

I wish both of these teams could lose but seeing Illinois about to lose its 14th game in a row to the Badgers does give me some satisfaction. Yes, I am still bitter about the losing streak to Illinois. Nice to see those a-holes on the receiving end. I'd be okay with Wisconsin winning another 14 more over Illinois after this too. :)

I’d like an Iowa win today and an Iowa loss on Sunday. Make it happen

I'll take 2 Iowa losses. Watching right now and Iowa is in a zone that is giving MSU lots of problems....

Let's see what Izzo does to crack it in the second half.

MSU just dismantled Iowa in the 2nd half. They are winning on the road in the B1G. At present, they look like a first place team in the B1G with UM coming a close second.
Watching the others, UMN has a chance to land between 4 and 7 in the B1G.

Washington playing @ Oregon right now on ESPN2. They could be climbing back into the Top 25 soon. 14-4 overall. Losses to (@ #11 Auburn, vs Minn, @ #1 Zaga, & vs #13 VT). Currently on a seven game win streak. 5-0 in the Pac-12.

And they are handling the Ducks early in the game.

On Barreiro show today, quoted a Des Moines AP writer before tonight's game, "For the Hawkeyes, it's the biggest game in a few years. For the Spartans, it's Thursday." Guess about right.

MSU hit 6 of their first 8 three point attempts in the second half and just broke Iowa's defense and got them scrambling. Then they got anything they wanted. MSU did two things that changed the game- got the ball up the court quickly and got shots early and they made their threes. It just shows what good shooting can do.

MSU did what they have done all year- make shots. They are a 39% 3 point shooting team and have a 50% field goal percentage overall. If the Gophers had the same FG % stats we would score an additional 11 points plus per game. What an amazing difference!

And there defense is just as effective as their offense in comparison to our defense. Our defense gives up 10 % more per possession than theirs !

MSU is a final 4 team

This is like saying, if the weather were 80 degrees warmer, the lakes wouldn't be frozen. You do realize that we don't have those stats because we have nowhere near as good of players, schemes or execution as they do, right?

Most disappointing conf. team - Indiana? Wonder what's going on with them.
Most surprising team on the positive side - Purdue?

Injuries, suspension and adjusting to a very demanding coach. Archie Miller is creating his culture but they are not all his players. Will not take him long, 3 years tops. Hell just yesterday Langford was described as being someone who was taking over the conference. Very talented player that can score the ball but he is wildly inefficient, shoots 22% from 3 and his assist-TO ratio is even. He has also defended poorly. Being a freshman it is all ok but he is not taking over the conference.

Seems like their fans are frustrated by recruitment of excellent athletes who are not excellent shooters. Miller certainly didnt sugar coat anything after tonight's loss.

Indiana was down 17-0 to Michigan 7+ minutes into the game in Assembly Hall. They missed their first 10 shots from the floor, and finally got their first 2 points on free throws.

Rewatching on FS2. At the 9 minute mark, UM was ahead 20-4. Only 4 points from IU in 11 minutes...at home. Hoosier Nation going ballistic.
Knowing our luck, they will continue to suck...until they play us.

Yeah, IU fan base is pretty upset at the moment. A few want to fire Miller already because they are just that psychotic.

Absolute fools. He is a really wonderful coach and a lights out recruiter.

Nebraska just lost to Ohio St at home.
Illinois is up 5 against Maryland with 1 minute left at Madison Square Garden.

Really nice win for Illinois. Nebraska problems continue.
