I want to give this game two grades.
I gave him a C. I think he could have taken Shannon out before he got hurt. I think we were lost once the comeback started. And he is awful with timeouts. One day we'll need them in a big game and he'll have used them to stop a 4th and 10 from being a 4th and 15...
I don't understand the take Shannon out argument at all.
1. Game wasn't over as Indiana illustrated.
2. People get hurt randomly. Could be in practice on Tuesday.
3. Shannon was only going to play in 4 games this season, which meant only 3 more games after today, one of which could have been a bowl game. So the risk of playing him is that you lose him for 3 games.

And potentially for the rest of his career.
Does anyone know which knee he tore up in the spring?

I felt at the time that the fumbles were due to him not being game ready. We were all of a sudden giving him every snap, and it seemed like too much for someone coming back from injury. I would have liked to see Williams come in and get a few carries around that time.
Fleck said this was his other leg.
Same as always.
Win = A
Loss = F
Thank goodness for that

That's not a good thing. People that tear one ACL are way more likely to tear the other.
I said he'd need to be at least a B to win any games this year, so I guess I have to give him that B (was right between B-/C+ in my mind). I posted some thoughts in the post game thread, but with all the injuries on this squad every win should garner a decent grade IMHO.
Is it time for a new S&C Coach?
