The Minnesota Golden Gophers are 3-0 and riding high after a 26-3 win over Miami (Ohio).

Speaking of riding high, junior wide receiver Tyler Johnson has been an absolute stud so far for the Gophers, having caught 20 receptions through those three games for 283 yards and five touchdowns. Johnson notched 100 of those yards and two of those touchdowns in Week 1 against New Mexico State but really had a break-out performance against the RedHawks.

It was so good, in fact, that his highlight package was “NFL Blitzed” by Minnesota on Twitter. NFL Blitz was, of course, a massively popular video game that jacked-up the players, lit the football’s on fire and had overall awesome commentary.

It was a tremendous game, and Minnesota paid tremendous respect towards it with this awesome video, which can be seen below:

Go Gophers!!

I'm too old to know the game but that was cool.

Would be awesome to see them do this with some defensive players and big hits since that was the hallmark of Blitz. Cool idea though.

Now that's some brilliant stuff. I'd love to see some marketing done for it. When recruits are on campus, have some of those kinds of clips before/during the game. They'd get a kick out of it.

Gopher sports has the best marketing team.
