***OFFICIAL MIAMI OF OHIO AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!!***

And Miami's D bails us out with horrible tackling on an obvious screen down. My goodness...

Also, you're right he's hurt, but there's an important difference between hurt and injured.
He's not injured. He can still perform and if he wants to play he should play.

There's no point in pulling a hurt player. Everyone is hurt in some way all of the time.

Pulling Zach now takes away his opportunity to correct the problems here.

It will dent his ego which is much more dangerous than playing on a dinged up leg.

Disagree, if the hurt player is hurting the team with his play, he shouldn't be in the game.
Similar to last year with Celestin playing hurt and not letting Cashman getting more time.

It’s nice seeing screen play in Minnesota.

Yeah, because letting him be a sitting duck to be teed off on more will really help him learn. Dude is a true freshman, there will be plenty of opportunities to let him face adversity without jeopardizing his future.

Yes, it will, you see how he's recovering here? That's called mental ****ing toughness. He's learning how to get the ball out on time and protect himself.
If you pull him earlier he doesn't have that opportunity.

At this point, I'd go with Tanner Morgan in the 2nd half.

Nice play call. Still think that when Seth comes into the game in those situations, they should take Zack out and bring in an extra TE for blocking or another WR to put out wide the other side to open up even more running lanes.

Or - one more bad hit, and he's out for the next month, and the Gophers go into B1G play with no backup QB.

PJ had a good response to this on his KFAN show wednesday

ZA does throw a nice catchable ball(most of the time)

Not saying he isn’t able to perform! Just that having a QB who can’t move playing behind a subpar O-line puts him at a high risk of getting more seriously injured. A stupid risk to take for “learning experience”. We’ll win this game no matter who is back there.

Seth Green is a very scary player for Minnesota opponents. Being used superbly.

He's not moving poorly enough that I'm worried for his safety.
If you are then that's another discussion, but half of the people in this board just want to pull him because he looks like he's struggling.
Struggle leads to growth.

As always. Wrong.

Seth would be the backup. He's no better than anyone we had last year, but we could try and get by with him.

Tanner Morgan is the backup. Green will be used exactly the way he is currently.

Duke taking it to Baylor. Dukies good this year...
