I was watching the NMSU / Wyoming game and was surprised to hear that Buford was playing. Most may already know this, but he left the U early in 2017 due to the threat of expulsion in the sexual assault investigation. I guess he doesn't hold hard feelings as he departed with these words.
"Minnesota will forever be the greatest decision of my life. Despite everything that has unfolded, I have managed to make friendships and relationship that will last a lifetime. I have brothers that will back and support me through anything. But I think it's safe to say that my time here is over and done. ... I learned that Netflix made a documentary about the JUCO he played for called, "Last Chance U".
