First hour Monday afternoon KFAN Bumper to Bumper (Gaard in for Barreiro).

Grimm and Gaard watched practice Monday.

Grimm:

says Annexstad had moxie from the start, liked his make-up in Spring after first 15 minutes, always felt he was guy who would get the job.

says Tanner Morgan can win some games for this team too.

notes Fleck said Annexstad will not have short leash.

Grimm said Schlueter told him both QBs are very good and it had to be a hard decision.

Grimm said Fleck and staff never trusted Croft, knew Rhoda was limited.

Grimm said late-signed walk-on Jordan Howden looks good.

Gaard's first look at team since Spring...can't compare team skillwise to last year...said Bateman, Bell, Douglas, Seth Green, Tyler Johnson the most quality WRs they have had...

Grimm said Bateman should set Gophers freshmen records...said Bell doesn't drop many...Green can make grabs in traffic...Tyler Johnson looked great...in practice, dbs are being allowed to mug WRs and they still look good

Grimm said KJ Maye had a big senior year but long time since explosiveness of Tyler Johnson who looked great when "won a pie for that" in practice

Holland, Gantry and Gent have ruined me from ever being excited about freshman WRs. I am not naïve anymore.

Never forget the Big 3. I'll never forget Gentry's 2 catches in a game. He was a stud.

Add in Andre McDonald, Crawford-Tufts, Hayo (of course) and 4* Brandon Green who always battled injuries. Maybe our luck will change.

Yikes! We can only hope that we don't have as many duds. It was like the Gophers have been picking from the P5 remnants pile for WRs.

From what I have seen of Bell in practice, I really like this kid.

Do you mean 2 catches in a game or career?

Career. Not sure if they were both in the same game. I remember my eyes widened at his 15 yd reception up the middle in the non-conference. Then we never saw him again.

Are all 14 enrolled/on campus? Thanks for putting the list together!

All but three are on the official 2018 roster - https://gophersports.com/roster.aspx?path=football&roster=55&sort=name

Ryan Keating - has signed with the Gophers on 2/7/2018, but is not a roster player.

Cordell Tinch- Had committed to the Gopher on 11/20/2017. He was suspended in HS for a second code violation. We haven't heard from him other than he was going to enroll and compete in track and field.

Jack McNeil - Has signed with the Gophers on 2/7/2018, but is not a roster player.

I think Cordell Tinch may not be a Gopher for football or track.

Ryan Keating and Jack McNeil on the other hand had signed with the Gophers. I don't know if that means they are not on the official team roster and are waiting for a spot or, if they are no longer in football.

NCAA rules allow for 105 players to be rostered before the first day of class or the first game, whichever comes first. When school is in session, there is no limit to the number of players on the roster, but BYU maintains a maximum of 123 (17.9.2.1.2). So, I believe some of the players that are not on the official roster are still on the team. PJ Fleck probably is going to maximize the opportunity to have quality players even on the practice squad that run the opponents' plays.
