Sounded like Fleck really likes what Callahan has done with the o-line already in Spring and over summer..mentioned fundamentals...working together

Fleck likes having mature veterans and returning starters Weyler, Greene, Olson leading the oline...

with another returning starter in Schlueter and fourth year veterans who have seen the field in Dovich and Oseland, good group of six to bring along the young four star talent redshirt frosh Andries, four star early enrollees Faalele and Dunlap...Fleck said strength can be an issue for frosh olineman...obviously not an issue for Faalele

no mention of top 5 juco offensive tackle Dickson...with Viramontes and Davis, we may be 0-3 on getting help fromCalifornia jucos

Fleck mentioned they recruited four star Florida transfer cornerback Williamson (who sat out last year) to come in and plug a hole, said we wanted to rely on him, but implied he has been frustrated by Williamson’s inability to stay healthy and show what he can do...

Fleck did mention four star Sapp is healthy, back peddles well, looks explosive, not favoring injured leg...mentioned Sapp, CJ Smith, Aune as guys who can help at safety...like the oline, sounds like Fleck loves the veteran maturity at safety with senior returning starter Huff and junior returning starter former frosh all American Winfield...said returning starter and veteran senior Shenault could also help at safety...he wants someone to emerge beside Huff so they can play Winfield at some type rover position

Fleck also spoke highly of fifth year Alabama transfer four star talent OJ Smith (who sat out last year) and fourth year Iowa Western transfer Royal Silver (who also sat out last year)...sounded like Silver had one of best off seasons on team...mentioned both as older, mature leaders...they should pair well with returning starter and five year guy Gary Moore for a big, physical, mature def tackle unit...remember returning starter Umlor is being moved inside as well...returning starter and all big mentioned four star talent Carter Coughlin says his pass rushing skills are much improved...the junior Coughlin is another of the mature older guys leading the team...junior Devers looked good in Spring and seems to have added some weight...Also on the dline, DeLattiboudere returns as a fourth year mature veteran with 11 career starts over two years and a leading havoc defender...looks bigger, stronger...he was featured in Gopher social media a lot this summer with fellow dline man and fifth year veteran Jerry Gibson, who was in the two deep last year before injury...Fleck has said dont sleep on rs junior Renner maybe getting that de spot opposite Coughlin...

Fleck Spoke very highly of experienced veteran junior Tyler Johnson as having a great offseason and being a leader...mentioned Tyler’s classmate and returning starter Phil Howard as a guy who could compete at wr along with Douglas, another returning starter, and Chris AutmanBell who would have started if healthy or if new redshirt role was in place in 2017...Fleck anticipates great competition at WR as Super recruit Bateman comes in...Eric Gibson also in the mix...mentioned new redshirt rule may allow Jornell Mann’s a chance to play (think what was mentioned about Brooks making it back from injury late in year)...

Fleck sounded excited about the numbers and maturity at TE...Seth Green (another third year guy) at 245 and athletic seems like something he is pumped to see...remember fourth year junior Beebe coming back from injury after starting in 2016 and third year Kieft got some good run last year

He loves fifth year returning starter Rodney Smith and mentioned how great of a Spring Ibrahim had...sounds like he thinks Williams and Edmonds can help Rodney and Ibrahim form a solid four tire backfield

Cashman said his fellow senior Julian Huff had a great spring and is a great player and looks forward to a spirited comp to replace Celestin...Fleck mentioned returning starters and third year guys Barber and Martin as leaders

Fleck recently said Cashman would start at WILL. We should expect a lot of rotation.

Great report Swingman! Interesting stuff!

A year ago I loved his press conferences. This time I just felt like he is a rolling ball of cliches. Says a TON of nothing. Almost the polar opposite of Pitino.

Need to see some football soon.

I truly believe Callahan will be the biggest difference this year. His work with the O line is bringing it together as a unit. That's harder than you think.
