Hobie is from SEC country and actually follows and likes college football, a rarity in this market (SEC native Scoggins another one). Been a while since a local TV station sent someone to Big Ten media guys. KFAN has been only local radio to send someone. Have not seen anything about Gaard in Chicago this year.

why would you need a passport to go to Chicago? Chicago is still in the United States, right? Or did Trump do something while I was sleeping?

Barber looks like he has pads on!-LOL - Think opposing backs will hate to meet him in the hole.

Several states, including Minnesota, have ID's that are not accepted for federal flight travel and require the use of a passport instead. We were supposed to have until October of this year to update our ID's before passport use was required. Maybe they chose passports for less hassle?

Key losses:
DT Steven Robinson.
Elite job BTN, elite.

Sounds like if you're a junior you shouldn't expect to play much.

So far I have listened to most of the Big Ten coaches. Without question, P.J. Was the most interesting and entertaining. Apparently Iowa-Ferentz is on tap for Tuesday. But the biggest jerk was Frost from Nebraska —- apparently I missed Halbaugh from Mich. I hope we tear a new ear hole in the Neb, QB. What a loud mouth. Hopefully other people, including coaches, were turned off by his ignorance. Granted he was 13-0 last year. But remember, if the kid could write his name in cursive, he was admitted. No such luck in the Big Ten. Although maybe Nebraska will loosen its entrance requirements. Better idea after I see what Junior College kid s get in.

Harbaugh was short and to the point. The BTN pundits described it as Jim “visiting the dentist”. I thought Fitzgerald from NW was pretty entertaining and candid especially once he was on the BTN set. Fitz had a lot of concerns about the current state of recruiting in the NCAA and believes the new rules on early signing opened Pandora’s box in terms of how busy the coaches are recruiting 2 classes at 1 time now.

Brohm was good as well but I think he was working on lowering expectations for his “Year 2” but continuing to talk about how difficult their schedule was.

PJ was reiterating the points he always states I.E. young team, get better every day, excited about the freshman, best recruiting class in MN history, 2018 will be a race to maturity. A couple of the new things PJ talked about were that he loves the CFB playoff format and he is fine with injury reporting as long as it is simply “will play or won’t play” to protect the students privacy.

TSA acceptable ID (Real ID driver's license) not needed until October of 2020.

I thought PJ was good.

It will be confusing for some Gopherholers however since he did say this year was year 2.
Plus he also referred to last year being year zero.
I'm guessing many GH'ers will not be able to process this if they take him too literally since he hasn't been here three years as year zero and year 2 would imply.

Harbaugh was entertaining in his own way; if you met him on the street or at a party would think he’s a bit “off” or eccentric. Nice story on Omaha Beach that probably had the panel uncomfortable as it went on for awhile with some “dead air” at times as he fumbles for words.

Brohm was very good. I won’t hide it, I’m a fan. He really seems to know his team inside and out. Exudes confidence.

Fitzgerald was good IMO.

Frost doesn’t come across as all that bright but hard to argue with his resume.

PJ was PJ. All the talking points we’re used to here. Young team, process, need players to lead the team, etc Did qualify 9 - offensive and defensive - seniors so I was happy to hear that...

Turned it off after that.
