per Sansevere:

U.S. Olympic gold-winning women’s hockey coach Robb Stauber will coach the Minnesota Whitecaps of the National Women’s Hockey League with his wife, Shivaun.

The Staubers will share the head coaching duties, Robb said. Shivaun Stauber was a college goaltender at Mercyhurst and the University of Vermont, and coached at RIT and Niigata University in Japan.

Stauber, a former goaltender at the University of Minnesota and, later, the Gophers’ goalie coach, guided U.S. women’s national teams to both world and Olympic championships in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

Jack Brodt, owner and founder of the Whitecaps, will be an assistant coach in charge of the defense.

This is Robb Staubers’ first coaching job since winning Olympic gold. He applied to coach the Gophers’ men’s hockey team, a position that went to Bob Motzko.
