President Trump is directing his top economic advisers to negotiate re-entering the Trans-Pacific Partnership, after pulling out of the trade agreement just one year ago.

During a meeting at the White House on Thursday, Trump told a group of Republican senators that he would assign National Economic Council Chairman Larry Kudlow and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer to “get it done.”

“President Trump said he was deputizing Kudlow and Lighthizer to look at reentering TPP negotiations,” Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., told Fox News as he left the White House. “President Trump looked at Larry Kudlow and said, ‘Get it done.’”

Trump is playing 5D chess now, well past 3D and well past the checkers you all can understand.

    Good lord.

The TPP was a horrible plan, and Trump won by rightfully campaigning against it.

HE JUST SOLD OUT THE BASE!

He's such a boss. And all while sleeping with and paying off multiple women. The latest one resulted in a kid, no less. Mike Huckabee was right, his stamina is amazing.

Which parts of TPP do you think are positives for the US and which parts are negative? What would good look like in your mind?

In order to win at any kind if chess you have to be able to see more than one move ahead. We have someone running the country who is intellectually and emotionally incapable of doing it.

Trump is desperately looking for ways to save farmers from his trade war with China

If Trump ends up actually reentering the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the colossal trade accord he abandoned on January 23, 2017, he would be reneging on one of his signature campaign promises and pulling off one of the most head-spinning policy reversals of his presidency. Trump won the White House on an anti-free trade platform and had spent months arguing that the deal would kill American jobs.

China has said it will levy 25 percent tariffs on crops like soybeans, corn, and wheat, which are all grown in parts of the country that are home to some of Trump’s strongest political supporters. American soybean farmers are particularly vulnerable — China makes up about 60 percent of their international sales.

Intellectual property provisions in the TPP were completelty garbage. It was a garbage deal that wasn't even about trade. We were right to stay away from it. Getting back in is unacceptable.
