I am a fan.

But, I also like the previous gold (yellow) helmets, both the regular and the Goldy version. I liked the anthracite uniforms also. Everyone seems to hate those, so maybe I'm just not as picky about fashion and which colors clash, etc. as others on here.

I loved them as a Halloween type of uniform especially when combined with Jack Lynn's 'Ghosts' tribute back in 2016.

It appears that we will have a similar alternate but with a lighter grey next year:

I think the Goldy helmets were pretty universally loved last year, even got some national recognition.

I don't love that we're going back to the old Maroon (I don't want to have to buy new stuff all over again), but I think that a lot of the old-timers are going to love that, and it's definitely meant to be a show of respect to Minnesota tradition.

These metallic gold helmets tho, with the throwback maroon uniforms, f*ing awesome. I love them.
 

In these videos its almost like hey don't want us to see the helmets, they keep flashing around.

From people who have seen the uniforms in person, they say the maroon hasn't changed. I'll agree, I love these helmets.

I don't know that I believe that. In the video with their graphic designer he talks about moving to the '70s style uniforms then they drop a kit that looks exactly like the throwback maroon. They can say it hasn't changed, but it looks like it definitely has.
 

I'm torn. I like the new gold helmets on their own - but would prefer last year's gold for the Gophers instead. I still think the new gold helmets with the anthracite tops and traditional gold pants is an atrocious combo however.

That maroon in the video is not accurate. I've seen them in person at Williams Arena a few weeks ago. It's the same dark maroon we've had the last 10 years or so.
