Gopher starting safety, having completely & utterly bought into PJ Fleck's "giving & sharing" culture, donates eyes to blind child.
PJ fleck preaches selflessness, giving & caring as a constant mantra. So when the humble safety (who of course wished to remain nameless) was asked why he had decided to make this grandly altruistic gesture, he simply stated "I have truly, deeply and completely bought into Coach Fleck's row the boat culture". "So when I clearly saw this opportunity (with no hint of irony on his face), to help that poor kid, I couldn't turn my back on it".
When asked about his players purposefull self-blinding, Coach Fleck loudly replied, slightly in this reporters personal space, that "The young man has just been an inspiration to us all!" "We always preach Athletic, Social, Spiritual & Academic... and I think he's grown tremendously, in at least half of those areas."
We then spoke with DC Robb Smith, about how it has effected his starting safety's play ON the field, he replied to us, with almost deliberate lack of eye contact "I'm not going to lie to you & tell you his play hasn't slipped since the... procedure". "Sure, he can't actually see the players he's supposed to cover". "And ya, does that make my job harder?... Like a lot harder... Like craaaazy hard. SURE!... "But, on the other hand, he's become a way more vocal player out there." "And what he did for that kid has totally inspired the other 10 very, very tired teammates out on the field with him."
