Go Gophers!!

Why not delay the surgery a day or two so Amir could attend Senior Night?

Getting surgeries scheduled can take a really long time, especially when the surgeon is in high demand. Quite possible that the next opening would have been weeks later.

I hope Coffey comes back at 100%. It just cracks me up that every time an athlete has surgery, the team comes out and announces that "surgery was successful."

C'mon - has anyone in the history of athletic surgeries ever come out after a procedure and announced that "surgery was not successful?"

It's like saying that the Sun came up in the East today.

I would rather see a statement like "Coffey came through surgery with no complications." It expresses the same sentiment without being a total cliche.

You've got to say something positive, upbeat, and nice.

It is better than saying, He dodged the knife slip. He didn't die on the operating table.
