You're a member of the Selection Committee, and all you have left to do is fill in the very last at-large bid. Which team do you select?

vs. = neutral-site game

I ask, if you think you know who any of these teams are, please don't speculate in the thread. Team reveals and results will be posted here at 3 p.m.

Team A
Record: 19-4
RPI: 31
KenPom: 48
Record vs. Quadrant 1: 0-3
Record vs. Quadrant 1/2 Combined: 4-3
True Road Record: 5-3
Overall SOS: 111
Non-Conference SOS: 172
Best 3 Wins (using RPI): #51, vs. #78, @ #88 (total = 217)

Team B
Record: 15-9
RPI: 58
KenPom: 39
Record vs. Quadrant 1: 0-8
Record vs. Quadrant 1/2 Combined: 1-9
True Road Record: 1-6
Overall SOS: 42
Non-Conference SOS: 197
Best 3 Wins (using RPI): #33, #100, #103 (total = 236)

Team C
Record: 18-8
RPI: 54
KenPom: 57
Record vs. Quadrant 1: 0-5
Record vs. Quadrant 1/2 Combined: 3-8
True Road Record: 4-6
Overall SOS: 93
Non-Conference SOS: 267
Best 3 Wins (using RPI): #39, @ #82, #84 (total = 205)

Team B

All these resumes have flaws. I tend to trust KenPom more than RPI. Also, even though they didn't win any of them at least team B has played a significant amount of Quad 1 games. Best overall SOS as well.

A. Strength of schedule would only influence me on B if the record actually reflected it.

The Results:

I voted for A.

Final Tally
A (Boise State) = 5
B (Maryland) = 1
C (Nebraska) = 0

Here's a look at each's best wins when we add the name of the opponents.

Boise State
Best 3 Wins (using RPI): #51 Loyola-Chicago, vs. #78 Illinois State, @ #88 Fresno State (total = 217)

Maryland
Best 3 Wins (using RPI): #33 Butler, #100 Penn State, #103 Bucknell (total = 236)

Nebraska
Best 3 Wins (using RPI): #39 Michigan, @ #82 Northwestern, #84 Boston College (total = 205)

I’d have said A C B in that order using the blind resume.

Doesn’t Nebraska get credit for beating us when we were at full and ranked?

Depends on who you ask. Many on this board think the injuries and suspensions have not had an impact on results
