So are gophers going to sign anyone tomorrow?
Also where is Mr Football going to end up?

I thought in one of the threads that had notes of PJ's interviews he said they were done signing for this year and PJ and Co. had moved on to crooting for the next round (and had been for a while).

Fleck said something about using today to celebrate PWO's to the program, but I haven't seen anything.

Ronnie Audette, OL Elk River signed with Oregon State today.

I also just realized the Alston is the #1 MN recruit and he signed with Nebraska.

There could be some PWOs we see added today, but I think we're done signing scholarship players.

Wonder if Fleck slept in today.

Michigan just lost a commit to Georgia.

Go Gophers!!

Never question why kids don't stay home.

In case he makes the NFL, mom came back.

How the hell don't you clear this with everyone first?

4.33 40 speed.

The Gophers might give up their fifth place perch in B1G West.

Interesting that Wisconsin has slightly regressed over the last three years in recruiting under Chryst, even though they've been to back to back B1G title games and won 10 or more the last 4 years.

2017: 39
2016: 35

That's more than "slight", call it significant and call it a definite trend in the right direction. Next year I'm hoping for the 50s. Come on BADgers, you can do it.

WI is right where they've been for the past 10 years...high 30s to mid 40s in class rank. Were actually higher on average in the years before 2008.

They now have a HC, OC, and DC that all played for the Badgers. Two of them were born and raised in Wisconsin as well. 6 of 11 position players have ties to WI or playing for the Badgers. Local ties are important, but at what point does it hurt National Recruiting? It will be interesting to follow.

Wisconsin’s average star rating is slightly higher than ours but they signed a smaller class and had only one 4 Star. My takeaway from that is PJ had some higher rated impact players and some lower rated three stars than WI. Higher highs, lower lows.

AFAIC +/- 15 spots is within the margin of error as far as ultimate team talent. Nobody knows how many of these guys will turn out or stick around.

They're record and bowl appearances over the last dozen is all they need for national recruiting. The DC was a 5'8" 180 lb walk-on in 2001 who was a 3X all-american went undrafted but played a decade in the NFL. He was on scholarship for only his SR year. The HC has been B1G coach of the year for the past two years. Point being, WI has recruited like this for years. I think they know what they are doing.

I would love nothing more than to have the Gophs compete at that level and be in the same success conversation with WI than have WI come back to the Gophs. Fleck needs to win, period.
