I found this gem at AxeMan on University Avenue. Only $4.95! Came with a lot of extras, like replica postcards, a banner and printed schedules, like this one showing the results of the 1891 season. There's a replica of the program from the 1908 game vs Carlisle.
I'm tempted to get another just for the goodies included.

Looks great! Were there a few more?

Yes, this is a great accounting of Gopher history. Lots of extras typically found in a museum...but here provided as replicas in a book.

As fate would have it I have two of them. Mrs. Billd found one...gave it to me...and then found another not realizing she'd given the first one.

Need to give the extra away to an aspiring Gopher fan...

Oh man that's awesome. I wish I could get over there.

I own this book as well, got it at Barnes and Noble years ago. Very fun.

Do they still have that iron lung for sale at Axeman?

I just want to point out that the words "Great" and "AxeMan" don't often collide in the same sentence.

I got grenades there, it was great.

Less great was the mom asking if they had 20 of them because she wanted to give them out as ... birthday party favors. And they were the pineapple style iron grenades, they looked as real as can be, they weighed maybe about 4 pounds in weight each, even without explosives I don't think I own anything in my house that wouldn't be somewhat broken if you threw them at it. Let alone the fact that being real decommissioned practice grenades the right thing for anyone to do if found lying around would be to call the bomb squad...
