Go Gophers!!

Wisconsin:

2014 & 2015: Maryland and Rutgers --> 4 wins
2016: at Mich State, at Mich, Ohio St in back-to-back-to-back weeks --> lost the latter two, which were the only losses
2017: Maryland, at Indiana, Michigan --> 3 wins

So while it's nice to have a West team with the East big boys, they're really 2-2 against teams that matter.

Gave yourself away. You aren't an NDSU fan.

And vice versa...not seeing your point.

Top 2 are one from each division.
Next group of six is 3 from each division.
Next group of four is 2 from each division.
Bottom two are one from each division.

Looks pretty balanced to me.

Cryptic message is cryptic.

Wisconsin's 8-2 record is a bit fluffy.

Certainly could look at it that way. They beat every team they should have, and went .500 against teams considered equal or better than them in cross overs.

Yes, because think about it:

In the East you have Ohio St, Penn St, Michigan, and Michigan State. When a West team plays those teams, they usually lose.
In the West you have Wisconsin, usually tough on most East teams, Iowa, which for some reason has a great record against top East teams, and then you have Northwestern, Minnesota, and Nebraska, which have each had a couple good seasons from 2014-2017.

I like how BTN puts Michigan States 6-4 at the top ahead of 3 west. 6-4 teams.

I’m not sure if it is intentional or not but if intentional it was a good way of making the east much better than it is. The whole image changes if you put Michigan State at the bottom of the 4 6-4 teams.

I’m talking visually

Yeah...if he had flipped Neb and NW, it would be in order of overall wins since 2014.

Go Gophers!!

Compare this to the overall B1G record for 2015-2017.

Ohio State and Wisconsin are the two dominant teams.

If Fleck and Frost get the job done like we think, the top of each division will get tight.

Okay, so if I total this correct, it's 72 wins and 68 losses?
How does that happen?

There were 4 games that had a winner and no loser?

I did some math of my own.

OSU - East 11 1
MICH - East 8 4
PSU - East 7 5
MSU - East 7 5
IND - East 5 7
MARY- East 4 8
RUTG- East 2 10

Total -East 44 40

WIS - West 10 2
IOWA - West 7 5
NEB - West 7 5
NW -West 7 5
MINN - West 4 8
ILL - West 4 8
PURD - West 1 11

Total West 40 44

Bottom line, if MINN beat Michigan in that Claeys game and beat PSU last year, both sides are tied at 42-42.

Then the standings would look like this.

OSU - East 11 1
MICH - East 7 5
MSU - East 7 5
PSU - East 6 6
IND - East 5 7
MARY- East 4 8
RUTG- East 2 10

Total -East 42 42

WIS - West 10 2
IOWA - West 7 5
NEB - West 7 5
NW -West 7 5
MINN - West 6 6
ILL - West 4 8
PURD - West 1 11

Total West 42 42

Yup.

Anyone who says the east is vastly better than the west forgets that you could create any divisional sets and the perception is going to be the division that Ohio State is in will be much better

When you consider that one of the primary arguments AGAINST aligning the divisions by East/West was parity, the divisions are remarkably equal just a few years later.

You could argue we are the team (or Nebraska) who is under-performing right now.
Everyone else is about what you had expected.
