A quick look at the 2018 schedule suggests Fleck's Gophers could and perhaps should improve on their five-win total from 2017, but it's also important to remember that building a college football roster takes time.

It will be interesting to see how patient fans are — and how patient they are asked to be.

So much depends on the offense improving, and so much of that depends on QB play first and foremost, but also receivers and OL.

Only thing for certain: we will be young (again). Expectations should be low for next year, but if they surprise, great! Getting to a bowl game at 6-6 would be an achievement.

How does looking at the schedule suggest a win improvement? Looks substantially more challenging IMO. Rand follows college FB?
