Kiki Bell's former Marquette teammate Grad Transfers to Fresno State. Yes she joins former Gopher Tory Jacob; although for some reason Tory has not played this season.

Fresno State women's head coach basketball Jaime White announced the addition of graduate transfer Tia Elbert on Wednesday. The former Indiana guard will be eligible for competition during the spring semester through the 2018-19 season.

"Tia will bring a high level of experience and maturity to our team," White said. "She has great court vision with speed and scoring accuracy. Tia excels in the classroom and that is in line with our culture of high character and hard work. We are very excited for her to join the Bulldog family."

Elbert played in a reserve role in her one season at Indiana, averaging 1.5 points in 6.7 minutes per game. The 5-foot-7 guard sat out the 2015-16 season after transferring from Marquette following her freshman season.

In one season with the Golden Eagles, Elbert started 22 games while playing in all 30. She was third on the team in scoring with 8.8 points per game in 26.7 minutes. She led Marquette with 3.1 assists and the 1.1 steals per contest

This was the statement when she decided to leave IU.

"This was a really difficult decision to make, as I am truly thankful for the opportunity to wear an Indiana uniform," Elbert said. "This is a choice I'm making based to complete my degree in the fall of 2017 and move back to my family in Minnesota sooner rather than later. I would like to thank the IU women's basketball program for the past two season and wish the team the best going forward.
