That's a whole lotta offensive linemen. Welcome aboard, Jason!

Is that it for scholarships (assuming all committed players sign their NLI)?

Go Gophers!!

Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, TCU, Maryland, Texas Tech and 4-5 others.

That's a good offer list. It will be good to see Mr.Dickson in that line-up next season.

Dickson is an important commit because we need him next year. Dunlap and Faalele are probably a few years away.

Do you have him beating out Greene or Schlueter?

Well aren’t those our two starting tackles? Or do you think they’ll move him to G?

Coach and staff are delivering!

UCLA Football: Jason Dickson de-commits from the Bruins - GoJoBruin

Found this article on him from the Bruins Fansided site from last month.

"It’s been an up and down 72 hours for the UCLA Football team. There was the beat down at Washington. The news that not all was lost at the quarterback position and now a de-commitment at a position of need.

New offensive line coach Hank Fraley has done a commendable job of taking a UCLA Football unit that many would have said was doomed before the season began. While no one will accuse the Bruin offensive line of being one of college football’s most dominant, they have been a relatively pleasant surprise this season.

Although it isn’t a major jump in production, the Bruins currently sit at 111th best in the country rushing the football. They have become more efficient rushers at 4.1 a clip which is more than a full yard better than 2016. That’s not the only improvement . The 15 scores on the ground are already more than last season and the Bruins still have four games remaining...

Dickson, a three star recruitment from Diablo Valley Community College, has the size (six-foot-six, 305 pounds) and athleticism that attracts major attention from programs all over the country. Most of the PAC-12 has shown interest in the athletic tackle but so has the Big-12 and Big-10. He does however only have two offers at this point. One from UCLA, and one from TCU.

Although they could be unconnected, the de-commitment of Dickson and the UCLA Football loss seem to be curious timing. It isn’t easy to convince recruits to stay with a school when you’re losing and losing in that fashion. Players want to be part of a winning culture and although the Bruins sit at 4-4, the remainder of their season may make it difficult for them to reach a bowl."

Hopefull he can enroll and be here for spring practice.
DVC has a great little campus.

In the original article of him committing to the Bruins he said that he was graduating this month and planning on being on campus in January. That campus will now be Minneapolis/St.Paul rather than in Westwood.

Warinner will sort this all out. The important thing is that we have depth on the OL. The big nasties get dinged. It is the nature of the job. We need depth worthy of a starting role. Whomever may be.

Congratulations to Jason!

One can understand the urgency of shoring up the o-line. We simply got outclassed in the Michigan, Northwestern, and Wisconsin games. We look to seeing a strong rebuilt o-line developing in the next three years.

PJ Fleck is doing it the right way by not taking the short view.

Fun weekend for Gopher football fans!
Does he have three years left?

Dickson will be the starting RT. Schlueter is not moving to guard, just doesn't have that skillset. He will most likely be the swing tackle. Andries is the one that could play tackle if need be but he's projected to move inside.

Doesn't mean they'll start next year. Best player starts, and it's usually up to the coaches.

The 3 OL from this weekend will all be in the mix for starting. Do to the nature of the game even those not starting the season will get starts as the season goes on. I'd say the OL for next is wide open to competition. Based on last year, it had better be. I have huge faith in Warinner when he has studs to work with. Some will do better with the training table and weight room than others.

1..... maybe2 if Dunlap really stands out, though you have to think they plan on Olson and Andries starting at the guards. Falalee has no shot at even playing this year.
