Would love to get this kid, but wondering if the signing of Carr will cause him to head elsewhere? Or perhaps Pitino was sensing that Terry was already leaning toward distant pastures? In any case, I’m just glad we signed a highly-regarded point guard who we should see a lot of for three years.

Wow, that was faster than expected. And without the dramatic press conference, too.

Congrats to him. All the hard work he has done has brought him to one of the great Universities in the world.

You saying Shaver is a racist...[emoji57][emoji41]

No ceremonial thigh touch by Shaver? What kind of announcement is that?

I was more thinking about the Reid Travis press conference to announce his commitment to Stanford. Either way, at least Terry did it low-key.
Ah...thanks for the clarification. I don't recall what Reid Travis did.

The way Terry’s announcement was written I couldn’t tell if he’s going the Marcus Carr route and declaring without hiring an agent to preserve his eligibility, or if he’s all-in after a year. Anybody know?

He's a pretty bright kid. He's likely keeping his options open.

Ambiguous. He's grateful and going to give it 100%. I'll just say if 100% effort and a suggestion he has more to work on comes, he will get another year of Stanford education.

He doesn't want to be criticized by the GH posters like Carr was....lol

he gone. He's getting legit 1st round buzz and may even move up into the early 20's. Seems like the word is the kid has definite NBA level skill and the only thing keeping him back is his physical profile but that will likely improve. He's not physically mature yet.

He's a guy that organizations like the Spurs or Raptors will love. Efficient offensively and extremely cerebral. He could go ahead of Tre Jones which is crazy to think 2 years ago.

maayybe. Tre's thing is he has pretty much everything else teams love other than the shot. If Tyus and Tre were combined they'd be an easy 10 year starter in the league lol

Agreed and Tre will get drafted, but I think he's a 2nd round guy where Terry is moving into the 1st rounds for some and he will probably benefit from no combine lol.

I doubt Tre drops that far. I've seen him anywhere from late lottery to late 20s. Thing is I think he's pretty 'safe'. Tre's gonna play in the league a long time because teams absolutely know he's going to defend guards and wings, he'll run an offense and be smart with the ball. Even if the shot gets to league average he'll be a very usable player.
