McCrarry...

He'll get a camp invite so he's got a shot. Definitely a guy that has been under utilized the past year and a half.

I wish he had been getting more touches the past year+. Always does a lot with his opportunities

He'll have a shot in camp but not sure he has the top end speed to beat anyone out of a roster spot.

He runs hard, is shifty for a bigger back and an excellent blocker. He'll get a shot.

Not too fast but big and tough to tackle high; could hang on for a couple years in NFL. More if he is a good blocker???

Did you see him running with Rodney at the end of the KO TD return? I think he's faster than you think...

That and on his longer TD run he showed more speed than I thought he had. He had always been labeled as the big bruiser but I think people haven't been giving his speed respect.

What about if he finishes strong with some playing opportunity? But, is Brooks coming back? McCrary's role might be diminished again. Maybe his best chance is if he happens to be elite in the combine/pro day drill times, then maybe he goes 7th round? Bad numbers and he's probably in trouble. Can you tell I'm rooting for him. I like how he runs. The other question is how deep is the draftable RB class this year?

He has a good mixture of balance and power and like others have said he is not slow for his size. He has also showed good hands these past few weeks. I give him a better chance of seeing NFL action than Brooks and Smith.

The problem is, just like for all positions but even worse for RB, there are only 32 NFL teams and there are 65 power college football teams, plus other FBS teams, plus FCS teams, etc. And he's not even the starter on the Gophers.

He'll get a springtime invite, when tons of college players get their one "chance". If he does enough there, he'll get invited back for the start of a fall camp, which is about as much as he could possibly expect. From there on, it's a lot of hard work sure, but also simply a ton of luck!

Doesn't play for Minnesota.

Let me introduce you to Kobe McCrary.

Jesus. Misspelling anyone's name is disrespectful, ignorant, and soooooo Minnesotan. Stop. Educate. Join professional adulthood.

How does one determine this is such a Minnesota thing to do? Do you frequent message boards made up of a lot of people from each state?

The words "Jesus", "Stop", and "Educate" are not sentences. Maybe you should look in the mirror first? Everyone else knew what he meant. There's no reason to be a dick about it.

I think he's got a shot, he's a big tough runner who hasn't had a lot of wear and tear. If Matt Asiata can play 5 years, I can't rule out Kobe finding a spot.

I think he makes a practice squad at the bare minimum.

Agree on the rest, but Stop and Educate are actually sentences. They are verbs, so they are imperative sentences with the subject implied. [emoji12]

Wow. Interesting take. Pretty sure both Smith and Brooks will be drafted. Brooks might be a little more questionable because of the injury troubles, but he still has another season to prove he can stay healthy.

I share your opinion. I doubt he gets drafted unless he really blows up in pre-draft assessment showcases. I doubt he'll go to the combine (but he might), but a good pro day would likely pique interest. Most NFL teams carry three RBs (at most) and the short-yardage specialist is a rare breed in the modern game. He's surprisingly shifty in the open field and he's a good one-cut runner. But he'll be in somebody's camp post-draft.

And that is why I generally don't criticize people for stuff like this. Thanks for correcting me! :p
