"One of the privileges of writing for Sporting News has been the opportunity to visit so many different college venues that I never happened upon while working as a newspaper writer covering West Virginia, Duquesne, Pitt, Memphis or Cincinnati. I’d been to a lot of cool arenas on those beats, but never to, say, Allen Fieldhouse. That’s where the list begins for me.
